About HeyTuner

HeyTuner is a free online tuner built to be the most accurate and accessible way to tune in a browser, with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

What we believe a tuner owes you

• Proof, not claims. Every release runs a public test suite, and the results are published in the Accuracy Lab.
• Privacy. Sound is analysed on your device. Nothing is recorded or uploaded, and there are no ads or pop-ups inside the tuner.
• Accessibility. The tuner works with a keyboard and a screen reader, allows zoom, and has an audio-guided mode for blind players. See the accessibility statement.
• Help beyond the needle. A tune-up checklist, a tuning changer that shows which way to turn each peg, and guides written by players.

How we write and review

Every guide and tuning page is written by a player and fact-checked before it is published, and the top pages are reviewed again every six months. Song lists on tuning pages cite a source for every entry. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.
